The cap nipple cones both look to be original

as expected from an item that used in the sweaty interior of a U-boat

These were usually made from walnut and beech laminate

The caltrop shows heavy oxidation but has a lovely patina. This is an American made, used and issued example and is not to be mistaken for being of German or Dutch origin.
