Constructed of silver, hollow, the obverse with a standard pilots badge motive within a thick wreath, with laurel leaves towards the left side of the wreath, and oak leaves towards the right side of the wreath, separated by a bow on the bottom of the wreath, adorned by a Prussian crown at the top, the reverse plain, with a vertcial pinback, a barrel hinge, a round wire catch, and a breather hole directly below
