A Totenkopf Pin for Wehrmacht and Freikorps Personnel consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac FERVENT / ANIMI"(Totenkopf Anstecknadel). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of a Braunschweig style Totenkopf, unmarked, measuring 28 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish to the base metal, an example commonly worn as a traditions badge by personnel attached to Kavallerie Regiment 5, as well as Freikorps and Wehrwolf veterans, in extremely fine condition.
