Figurehead-like Carved Bust, Woman with Wild Hair old tin cooking dish like little tsunamisAnother one found this week in Maine, and this carved bust of a woman with thick head of seemingly wind blown hair looks a lot like the figurehead at the bow of a ship to me. (It thus seems right that she might have taken a bump to the nose at some point along the way!) Well carved, making great use of the grain of the wood, which adds to a sense of dynamism, as if she's pushing her way through the world, with a wonderful sort of wildness and
