This is a very nice example of a "horizon blue" canvas covered Model 1877 French 2 liter canteen, complete with the original cover and full length leather shoulder strap. Due to material shortages during WWI, every last piece of fabric had to be used, resulting in these "patchwork" type covers. Amazingly, the cork stopper is mostly present and the original cup. Overall condition of the canteen and cover is good. The
