This fantastic condition M1 shell has correct late war swivel (movable) chinstrap loops called "bales" and a stainless steel rim with a rear seam

It is size stamped 58 on the steel rim on the underside of the neck guard along with being maker stamped and dated SCHULTZ & HOLDENFLEISS / BERLIN N / 1916 stamped onto a metal plate secured on the inside of the dome round the vent hole

Recipients of the Order of Freedom and Independence receive the Order of the National Flag of the same class
