This is a very good condition Early War Flottenkriegsabzeichen der Kriegsmarine High Seas Fleet Badge, made of tombak alloy, very similar in composition to 80 20 brass. Areas of the badge would be oxide "blacked", while others would have a lovely gold wash applied. Later in the war the material used was switched to zinc alloy, which then had the wreath gold washed. Like most early war badges, this example is fully
