I must say it took me a while to realize that this is in fact a paint by numbers painting—I just thought it as a pretty great looking landscape

Photos don't give a great sense of the richness of the sea itself, which was painted with hundreds of fine brushstrokes in a range of blues and greens, which make it feel as if we're out in very deep waters witnessing the scene.
