This is a very unique trench art set, two artillery shell splinters which have been converted into a meat carving set, including a carving fork & knife. This 1916 dated custom made set has a great deal of character that is unlike any other piece of trench art we have offered! They both have a different set of initials, J. C. on the carving knife, and G. A. on the carving fork. The shells have been grinded down & smithed
