I do imagine quite a lot of found treasures have been stashed inside of this one

who I think may have been responsible for the beginning section in where are a series  of neatly transcribed poems about seashells and spring days

3 7/16" x 1 9/16" x 3 1/2" tall

but I believe this would have been used by a blacksmith doing fine work

This is not a hand colored engraving, it is an original, very finely executed ink and watercolor drawing, and my photos do it no justice; the color and detail is just glorious! One sees hand colored engravings in this manner (Bertuch et al) but quite a different thing in watercolor,
