This is a gorgeous example of an Early American powder horn with a retained suspension ring and its original wooden plug. The horn measures roughly 9 long without the plug. It has some residue of what looks like glue holding the bottom wooden plate in, which appears to have originally had tacks or nails holding it together which are gone. The plug has a small hole for a retaining strap that is now gone. A very nice
