The caption writes, "Regally clothed in a yellow striped blanket, he [the king] is accompanied by his prime minister. It required considerable skill to secure this picture as the king had first to be convinced by repeated demonstrations that the "black box" was safe" The Kikuyu are Kenya's largest ethnic group, and amount to 23% of the total population.
