1902 Photogravure Warren Hastings Governor General India Impeached Privy XEG4 XER4 918 Stiles StreetThis is an original 1902 black and white photogravure of Right Honorable Warren Hastings (Dec. 6, 1732 Aug. 22, 1818) of the British Privy Council. Originally appointed as Governor General of India, he was impeached in 1787 on numerous counts of crimes and misdemeanors concerning his conduct in governmental decisions, particularly those of finances, in India. In 1795 the verdict would finally come back resulting in an acquittal, but by that time he
